Greetings once more from the West Texas Home For Deplorable Jingoistic Supporters Of The Second Amendment And The State Of Israel Who Drive Four Wheel Drive SUV Vehicles Which Burn Fossil Fuel.
I am pretty sure that I do not need to spend a whole bunch of time dwelling on the recent UN resolution declaring the Israeli settlements on the West Bank to be illegal and that Israel should cease all construction in that area.  We watched the United State Ambassador to the UN ABSTAIN rather than veto this resolution.  As far as I am concerned, anyone in politics who either ABSTAINS from casting a vote  OR  just votes  PRESENT, is a flat out coward.  Now I am sure the the U.S. Ambassador had orders from the State Department to ABSTAIN and of course he obeyed this criminal administration.

Then earlier today we were subjected to a speech by Secretary of State John Kerry.  Now, I did not see the entire speech but what little I did see convinced me that John Kerry was also following the orders of Barack Hussein Obama and his entire speech appeared to me was placing the blame for all of the problems on the West Bank and in the area in general right square on Israel.  AND  John Kerry said that NO  AMERICAN  ADMINISTRATION had done more for Israel than the Obama administration.
THEN, to add further insult to not only Israel but to other Middle Eastern countries, when he referred to HAMAS  as a "Militant  Group"  rather than call it what it has been branded for a good while..... A  TERRORIST  GROUP.
I do feel fairly confident that President Trump will fix this problem fairly early in his occupation of the office of President of the United States.
I am sure that Israel does not do everything exactly as I would like BUT I never forget  that  in the several wars in that region, Israel has come out on top.  Since when to the losers of any conflict get to set the rules.  For a good while, Barack Hussein Obama has been urging Israel to return to the 1967 borders.... which Israel says  JUST  ISN'T  GOING  TO HAPPEN.   I have heard the Obama administration urge Israel to return the Golan Heights to Syria  which I do not believe will happen.  If you are not familiar with the Golan Heights, it is a 459 square mile area on the Northeast border of Israel and Syria.  It was previously Syrian territory but was lost to Israel in the 1967 War.   It is a militarily advantageous area and Israel is not about to give it back to a country who is their sworn enemy,  Syria.  AS  I SAID  EARLIER,  Territories WON by Israel in several Wars are not up for discussion according to the Israeli government..... and I don't blame them.
I think it is unthinkable for the United States to be taking the side of a group (The Palestinian Territory)  run by a Terrorist Organization HAMAS) against our best and strongest ally in the area.
It appears to me as if Barack Hussein Obama and his criminal administration are doing everything within their power to screw up world events in order to dump them in Donald Trump's lap.  OK.  Let 'em do it.  I just don't believe it will take a Donald Trump administration long to right a whole bunch of wrongs committed by Obama and his minions. 
ALSO,  this morning I read an article that said that FEDERAL  REGULATIONS finalized from 2005 to present  have cost the American Taxpayers in excess of ONE  TRILLION  DOLLARS.   Let's seen now..... who was President in 2005?   Oh Yeah, it was George W. Bush.  I just knew he was to blame.... OH wait a minute,   who was President from 2008 to the present?   Ah yes,  it was Barack Hussein Obama so I think this criminal administration is going to have a hard time putting the blame on George W. Bush.... but they will try.
I realize that the college football bowl games  are not  as important as the vermin running our government BUT I cut out a piece in the paper the other day and saw where there are 45 college bowl games.  OK now,  with  two teams playing in each bowl game that would mean that 90 colleges and universities will be playing in these games.  There are at present 128 Division I Colleges and Universities  so this is a pretty strong indication that more than half of the Division I schools will be playing in a bowl game.
North Texas University with a 5 - 7 record is in a bowl game as are a number of 6 - 6 teams.  When I was a kid growing up I remember these Bowls:
Rose Bowl  -  Pac 8 Champions vs.  Big 10 Champions
Cotton Bowl -  Southwest Conference Champions vs.  invited team
Sugar Bowl - was generally the Southeast Conference Champions vs.  invited team
Orange Bowl - generally the Big 8 Champions vs. invited team
Sun Bowl  and when I was still growing up:
Peach Bowl - was generally invited teams
Gator Bowl - generally invited teams
Bluebonnet Bowl -  generally the 2nd or 3rd team from the Southwest Conference vs.  invited team
Of course when I was a kid up until the conference broke up, the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas had the Winner of the Southwest Conference playing a quality team who was invited .... and several times this bowl was for the National Championship;   Texas/Navy and Texas/Notre Dame.

BUT,  Arkansas and Texas A & M left the Southwest Conference and the new Big 12 Conference was formed  and now the Big 12 Conference has 10 teams,  go  figure.

I received several e-mails and read a couple of articles advising of the upcoming retirement of THOMAS  SOWELL.  Dr. Sowell is 86 years old and for sure has earned a retirement to pursue other things.  As I understand it, he is through writing weekly articles and I seriously hate to hear that we will no longer be permitted to hear and read the thoughts of this brilliant man.

I equate this pretty much to the retirement of William F. Buckley Jr..... I believe that Dr. Thomas Sowell and  William F. Buckley Jr.  were true conservatives and  provided many of us some really great thoughts and articles.  I do have hopes that Dr. Sowell will occasionally honor us with an occasional article or editorial opinion.

In any event,  Dr. Sowell will be missed by many of us.  I sincerely hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement.  He has earned it.
Earlier today I heard that George Washington University in their history curriculum  will no longer require that American History be a part of that degree program.  Instead there was going to be more emphasis on the history of other civilizations.  Sure makes sense to me that people who are no longer taught American History in the American Public School systems will now not be exposed to it at the college level.

This same program also said that Harvard Law School was going to start substituting courses in Sharia Law over Constitutional Law.  I have not checked either of these stories out but it sure sound strange enough to be absolutely true.
A couple of days back I watched a video of riots in certain sections of Paris between local police,  local residents,  and  Middle Eastern Refugees.  These so called "Refugees" were throwing rocks;  pipes;  bottles;  and other debris.   The Paris Police were shooting tear gas canisters toward the rioters who were picking them up and throwing them back at the French Police.

OK.  I'm going to explain this one more time.  If you have bad folks inside a building or a confined  space..... tear gas canisters are fine.  BUT they do not work well out in the open.  I have been on a number of calls in which tear gas canisters were used.  They worked fine on people confined indoors but not very good at all out in the open.
After watching this type of activity for years, on film and in person, the thought came to me that while I have seen tear gas canisters thrown back in the face of the Police.... I have NEVER  seen a 5.56 mm or a 7.62 mm or a 9 mm or .40 caliber or .45 caliber projectile thrown back at the Police.   Perhaps  this tear gas stuff on huge crowds should be done away with.
OF course, I Germany.... Frau Merkel deserves a good dose of  rioting and destruction for the way in which she has handled the "Refugee" matter.
