Greetings for the New Year from the Cold Jingoistic Fossil Fuel Burning Firearms Owning Fed Up With Politics West Texans.
As you probably noticed, I have not been on line for a while. My computer quit on me on about December 28th and I did not get it back until a few days ago. I have been going through stuff and deleting a whole bunch of photos and videos in order to make room for new stuff this year.
Of course my observations are generally made from a very CONSERVATIVE view and many might no be shared by a great many folks.
I have, however, observed that the present occupant of the White House has continued to lie and violate his oath of office on a regular basis. We have heard him make statements and then within a few days completely deny making those statements. We have also observed that his cabinet and appointees have not fallen far behind him in the area of being untruthful to the American People.
We have observed the House of Representatives pass legislation only to have it blocked by Harry Reid in the U.S. Senate. We have further observed that the mainstream media AND the Obama Administration lay the blame completely on the U.S. House of Representatives. AND, while I do not have a very high regard for House Speaker John Boehner, the lion's share of the blame for lack of meaningful legislation must lie squarely on the shoulders of Barack Hussein Obama and the then Democrat controlled U.S. Senate.
We have observed the Justice Department under the direction of Eric Holder take sides in local matters in which they had no federal concern. HOWEVER, under the guidance of Race Pimps like Al Sharpton, the federal government has attempted to make racial, civil rights issues where NONE EXIST.
We have been told, ever since Barack Hussein Obama was elected that we were to be living in a "Post Racial Era". HOWEVER, it appears to me as if Obama and his band of merry men/women have made sure that racial divisions have increased just as they have attempted, and in many cases succeeded, to divide the American People by economic status, educational background, and regional places of residence as well as to increase racial tensions. This latest attempt to make ALL members of law enforcement a party to racial prejudice is just one example. As a career Police Officer, I will freely admit that I knew many black people whom I did not like at all; I also knew many Hispanic people whom I did not like at all; I knew some Asian people whom I did not like at all; BUT I probably knew at least as many Caucasian people for who I had absolutely no use. Just because there were people from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds that I did not care for in the least, that does not make me a racist nor did it influence my decisions when dealing with people from different backgrounds and social status.
When I see a group of protesters storming into a public building chanting:
"Hands Up, Don't Shoot"
"I Can't Breathe"
or, my personal favorite
"What Do We Want? Dead Cops. When Do We Want Them? NOW."
And many of these protests were in San Francisco, CA; Oakland, CA; Portland, OR; and several other large metropolitan areas.
Then we observe some real Race Hustling Pimps claiming that these are PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS and are a right guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution.
I am sure that I have a somewhat slanted view on things but: WHEN YOUR PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION CAUSES ME TO:
1) Deviate from my desired course
2) Causes me to stop doing something that I want to do
3) Causes me to do something which I have no desire to do
4) Creates any problems for me or anyone else
THEN YOUR DEMONSTRATION IS NOT PEACEFUL, NOR IS IT PROTECTED BY THE CONSTITUTION. IT IS PURELY AND SIMPLY A NUISANCE! AND WHILE THIS MAY COME AS A SURPRISE TO MANY, IN MANY INSTANCES, BEING A NUISANCE CARRIES WITH IT..... DARE I SAY IT? CONSEQUENCES!
So, our "Post Racial President" is really not any different from AL SHARPTON, JESSE JACKSON, and all the rest of the Race Hustling Pimps.
BUT, I fear that we are in for at least two more years of this act UNLESS the newly Republican Controlled House and Senate show some balls and begin to take back control of their respective areas and be more concerned with doing what is right than what is popular with the crowd inside the beltway.
The first suggestion I have is directed to the newly elected U.S. Representatives and U.S. Senators. I would point out that:
1) YOU WERE NOT ELECTED BECAUSE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WERE HAPPY WITH THE DIRECTION OUR COUNTRY WAS HEADED.
2) YOU WERE NOT ELECTED TO FOLD AND COMPROMISE WITH THE DEMOCRATS/PROGRESSIVES/SOCIALISTS.
3) YOU WERE NOT ELECTED TO CARRY ON LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS AS USUAL.
4) YOU WERE NOT ELECTED TO GET A GOOD GRADE IN -"WORKS AND PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS".
5) YOU WERE ELECTED TO OPPOSE BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S POLICIES AND OVERRIDE THEM WHEN POSSIBLE!
It is time for the American People to hold their elected officials accountable for their actions AND if they do not perform as needed....REPLACE THEM!
It is time for Conservatives and Republicans who try to pass themselves off as Conservatives to STOP ACTING LIKE DEMOCRATS/PROGRESSIVES/SOCIALISTS.
It is time for the Republican Party ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL to NOT ALLOW THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA TO PICK THEIR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE FOR 2016. As most of us know, they gave us John McCain and Mitt Romney who both got trounced by Barack Hussein Obama. And if they continue to go down that road, we can prepare for EIGHT YEARS OF HILLARY CLINTON. Personally, I had rather be pecked to death by a duck than endure eight years of this screeching heifer. (And perhaps I should apologize to heifers nationwide)

Last week I was watching one of the sports channels and they had one program on in which it had Peyton Manning wired for sound over a period of several games against various teams. I have always liked Peyton Manning and thought he showed a lot of class in various interviews and the way he carried himself both on and off the field. My opinion was reinforced after watching this program. Peyton Manning is a team player and when he screws up, he admits it and accepts blame rather than trying to shift it off on someone else. In one clip he got sacked, big time, by J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans. As Manning was getting up off the ground he turned to Watt and said, "Man, you got me good that time". When he got to the sidelines he told his coach, "That J.J. Watt only has one speed ... wide open." Then a little later they had a film on the football career of Doug Flutie. Of course, Flutie was something like 5'9" and many of the so called experts said he was TOO SHORT to make it in the NFL. His first season or so he did not do all that good so he went to Canada and won several CFL Championships, with Toronto, I believe. Then he returned to the NFL and played with several teams and did well with all of them. In addition, he and his wife were raising their son who suffers from autism. Doug Flutie is a first class man and just like Peyton Manning was a pure team player. Anyway it was pleasant to see great players who were not acting like they had performed a miracle when they scored. I guess the most emotion I saw from Doug Flutie was on his very last play as a New England Patriot. He drop-kicked an extra point which has not been seen in decades. Anyway, Peyton Manning and Doug Flutie are definite role models.
One of the sports channels also showed a program reviewing the football careers of Gayle Sayers and Dick Butkus. Of course they were team mates with the Chicago Bears and were both drafted one after the other in the draft for their rookie seasons. Anyone who ever saw Butkus and Sayers play will certainly appreciate their careers. Of course both of them played during the years when the rules were much different and Butkus had both his knees ruined but still played on bad legs for several years. Sayers got a knee injury in either his third or fourth season and was lost for most of the year. BUT, the year he returned, he rushed for over 1,000 yards and his longest run of that season was 23 yards. Both Sayers and Butkus were tough as nails. Sayers said that in practice they went full speed. He said that Coach George Halas told him not to let up or Butkus would knock his ass off.... and he was right. Sayers only played for six years but was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame on his first year of eligibility.
I watched a news program last night and saw where a retired New York City Police Officer had his concealed carry handgun confiscated by the Sheriff's Department. Evidently this man had gone to the hospital emergency room because he was suffering from..... now get ready for this...... INSOMNIA. For those of you currently residing in the People's Republic of San Francisco, that means he was having problems sleeping. Evidently in the State of New York if you seek medical help your medical records are sent to various outlets. But this man had problems falling asleep. I know a number of people who have that same problem. But evidently in New York, it is considered some type of mental disorder which prohibits you from owning a handgun, at least that was what was reported.
BUT, I don't know why this should surprise any of us. New York City has a Mayor who has seen fit by passing an executive decisions that the NYPD Officers can no longer do a pat down search for weapons, which incidentally allowed by the U.S. Supreme Court. Small wonder that Bill de Blasio is on the VARMINT LIST.
Anyway it is good to have my computer back and I am glad that the New Year is here. I just hope it is an improvement over 2014. AND, incidentally, I have NO PROBLEMS at all in falling asleep.
